The European elections are taking place across 27 Member States until 7 June. EDF calls on every citizen to go to the polls and vote for the candidates who will design a Europe for all.
Carlotta Besozzi, Director of the European Disability Forum, said:
"The Parliament takes decisions that affect daily lives of persons with disabilities, from the accessibility of the transport, education or Internet technologies to the discrimination. Although disability has really been absent from political debate, parties' manifesto and candidates' support, the vote of 65 million persons with disabilities count.
The European Disability Forum and all the disability movement raises awareness on what still needs to be done to make European and national elections accountable. Your vote counts to ensure better rights for persons with disabilities and families in Europe. Disability votes count !"
